Creativity and AI

I have started to dig into OpenAI in earnest. Some of you may have heard about ChatGPT which is, as I understand it, built on the OpenAI platform. One of the other tools out there that uses some of the same technology is called GPT3. I created an account and decided to devote a blog to AI and creativity.

In GPT3's Playground, I typed in "write a blog about AI and its influence on creativity." and the following italicized text is what the GPT3 application produced in about 10 seconds. I originally thought I might end up editing the text; however, I think GPT3 did a pretty good job and I present it to you unedited.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a great tool for unlocking creativity in many different areas. From automating mundane tasks to creating complex algorithms that can generate new ideas, AI is making it easier for us to explore our creative potential.

AI is already being used in many different creative fields, from art to music and film. AI can help artists create unique pieces of art by analyzing a dataset of existing works and suggesting new ways of combining them. AI can also be used to generate original music by analyzing existing compositions and creating new melodies and rhythms. In the film industry, AI can be used to generate scripts, create special effects and even compose original soundtracks.

AI can also be used to help us explore and develop ideas. For example, AI can be used to generate new ideas for products, services, and business models. AI can also be used to identify trends and patterns in data, helping us to see opportunities that we may have otherwise missed.

The possibilities of AI in the creative space are endless. We are only just beginning to explore the potential of AI in terms of unlocking our creativity, and the possibilities are exciting. As AI continues to develop, it will become an increasingly important tool for helping us explore our creativity and unlock our potential.

I am also including the two images below: the first is a foto of a retablo that sits above my desk. The second was "constructed" using AI imaging software which rendered the original retablo image and produced the four thumbnails shown below.

This AI sample is but one of several variations I played with--truly amazing software. The possibilities are endless! Stay tuned...

I welcome your feedback/comments.
